I have seen the world in frames for 40 years and look at reality in terms of frames and stories. Sometimes I captures things as they are, while other times I isolate part of the image, which in turn creates a new story. Sometimes I watch from the sidelines and wait, in hopes that I will not miss the right moment. As a hidden observer, I can watch the scene unfolding without influencing the outcome. Other times I am active participant. This dynamic relationship between the photographer and the subject creates  anew reality that would not have happened without my participation. During the event I move between viewing and participating

Sometimes the result of the photograph stands as an amazing image by itself and sometimes a picture only finds the right dimension and depth when it is part of a sequence of images.

I seek to clarify at any given moment what reality is. Reality is not uniform, reality depends on time and place, and each person's own unique perspective. The question is what is presented to you and what story does your imagination create.

I am a storyteller that sees the world through various lenses and seek the story within the frame to reveal what cannot be seen with the naked eye. I use the camera lens to reveal what is hidden in order isolates one moment from a sequence from which multiple stories can be derived. I also follow people over time and tell their stories.

A piece of art can stand by itself, but when the image matches the material that it is printed upon, then it changes the sensory experience. I print images on different materials, including canvas, stone, glass, ceramic, and acrylic in order to create something new.
